Sadly, James Ian McCann, has died. Many of you may remember him from Carol’s class. He was always in good humor, teasing us when we couldn’t follow directions, protecting Mason from our wild throws when playing ball. He will be missed.

RSB Class will be cancelled on Friday April 3, 2026 due to Good Friday observance.
We will make up the class on Wednesday. Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week will all be structured classes.
Meerscheidt is in full facility closure 8am-5pm beginning Monday 3/23. Hopefully we will find out more information about the length of closure this coming Thursday 4/2 when the Meerscheidt staff have their construction meeting.
Meanwhile, we need to find a place & time to play this Thursday. Ken Posey said he was able to get 1 court at Pickle Planet for 2 hours this Thursday April 2 – 11am – 1pm. He will check availability for next week – check back for updates.
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has designated April, 2026 as Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month throughout the state of New Mexico.

Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., will close both gymnasiums from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9–13 and March 16–20 due to ongoing construction. Adult programming and open gym will be canceled March 9–21, 2026.
So…. we will meet at Apodaca Park for Pickleball practice at 10 a.m.-12 noon this coming Thursday, weather permitting. Bring a hat, water sunscreen and maybe a chair.
