Line Dancing

Who is up for learning some line dancing and having some fun?  If so, you are in luck because Erika Kelly, daughter of Eddie and Delia Hausermann has graciously offered her time and talents to show us some dance steps.  This will be a free class!

Did you know that learning new things can change the physical structure of your brain, which can help you adapt to new situations and improve your memory and creativity?

Learning a dance step is a perfect example of something we can do for our brains, not to mention our mood.

Please join us on Tuesday, February 11th from 1-2pm at Borderland Cheer Gym at 6361 Weisner Road.  Please RSVP if you are able to make it to Diane Giever at dgiever@comcast.net or 724-388-6201.  We welcome everyone (those with Parkinson’s and their care partners) regardless of abilities.  Feel feel to bring any devices to help you (cane, walking stick, walker, etc.).  Also bring water and wear comfortable shoes.  The floor is padded.

We will offer this class every month on the second Tuesday from 1-2pm.  If all goes well and there is interest, we can increase the class to two times per month. Hope to see you all out on the dance floor!

Pickleball schedule change

We met at 12:15 this last week, and decided it was too warm. Diane was able to get the schedule changed back to 8 a.m. for the rest of October.

Pickleball instruction and practice will be at Apodaca Park 8 a.m.-10.p.m. on courts 3 & 4 for the rest of October. In November & December, our schedule will be Thursday afternoons, 12:15-2:30 p.m. on Apodaca courts 3 & 4.
