Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., will close both gymnasiums from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9–13 and March 16–20 due to ongoing construction. Adult programming and open gym will be canceled March 9–21, 2026.
So…. we will meet at Apodaca Park for Pickleball practice at 10 a.m.-12 noon this coming Thursday, weather permitting. Bring a hat, water sunscreen and maybe a chair.

Both our Parkinson’s Exercise Class, led by Medical Exercise Specialist, Carol Witham, and our Rock Steady Boxing Class, led by Gerry Burgos, will be cancelled Wednesday, December 24, and Wednesday December 31 due to the holidays.
Both classes will meet on Monday December 22 and Monday December 29. Boxing will meet on Friday, January 2nd. We will return to our normal schedule Monday January 5, 2026.
No pickleball on December 25; we may meet on January 1st. If Meerscheidt is closed and the weather is good we may meet at Apodaca Park.
The Rock Steady Boxing class scheduled for Monday November 24 is cancelled due to a tournament this weekend. We will have a make-up class Wednesday November 26 instead of the regular Wednesday open gym. There will be no class Friday as the gym will be closed for the holiday; a make-up class for Friday will be on Wednesday December 3.

Carol’s class, New Pathways for Parkinsons, scheduled for Monday, July 14 and Wedneday July 16 are Cancelled for a well-deserved vacation trip. Class will resume on July 21, 2025.
The Rock Steady Boxing class scheduled for Friday July 4 is Cancelled for the holiday. We will have a regular class instead during the free exercise period, Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025!
