Exercise class cancelled Monday September 29
Our Parkinson’s Exercise Class, led by Medical Exercise Specialist, Carol Witham, is cancelled Monday September 29, due to illness. Classes willl resume on Wednesday November 1 at 10 a.m. as usual.
Dr Ray Dorsey to speak in El Paso
The Parkinson’s Westside Support Group will host Dr. Ray Dorsey October 5th 3-5pm at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, The Parish Hall 1551 Belvidere El Paso, Texas. Dr Dorsey will speak about his book, The Parkinsons’s Plan.
Some of the Las Cruces Parkinson’s Support group will attend. Refreshments available. Please REGISTER HERE to save your spot. Ken Posey will coordinate ride-sharing, text 575 997-8828.
Ray is the David M. Levy Professor of Neurology at the University of Rochester. He is working to identify and eliminate the root causes of Parkinson’s disease.

Pool Party & Potluck
The Parkinson’s pickleball group is organizing a Pool Party & Potluck for Tuesday August 19th at 3pm. All members are welcome; come socialize, play cornhole, swim and share snacks!
The party begins at 3pm, the main gate opens at 2:30. Use the main entrance off Sonoma Ranch Blvd., the clubhouse will be on your right as you enter.
Caregiver Stress-Busting Program
ProgramThe Stress-Busting Program (SBP) for Family CaregiversTM is a program that provides support to family caregivers of people with chronic illness. This is a multicomponent program that meets for 90 minutes/week for 9 weeks. The classes are online using ZOOM. The program is available at no cost. Registration is required.
