Movement Disorder Specialists in The Region

A movement disorder specialist is a neurologist with additional training in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. This type of doctor typically has extensive knowledge of Parkinson’s therapies and ongoing research. 

Southern NM – there are no movement disorder specialists practicing in Southern NM or far west Texas (El Paso). There are Neurologists in the area who work with Parkinson’s patients, but not  movement disorder specialists.

We have recently had a presentation from NeuroMotion Telehealth (https://www.neuromotiontelehealth.com/), an organization of Nurse Practitioners who work with Parkinson’s patients online.  This may be a good solution for those of us who cannot travel to see a specialist.
