Our schedule for October 3rd was Thursday afternoons, 12:15-2:30 p.m. on Apodaca courts 3 & 4. It was too hot. we will return to a 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. schedule for the rest of October. In November, we plan to move to the 12:15 – 2:30 schedule.

July’s guest speaker, Paul Ford, NREMTP, the Mobile Integrated Heathcare Coordinator for the Las Cruces Fire Department sent us a copy of his presentation, Mobile Integrated Healthcare: Furthering the Mission.
As noted before, Paul specializes in working with at-risk populations who call 911 frequently due to unmet health and wellness needs and are affected by the unique conditions surrounding the elderly, mental health, homelessness, and substance abuse. The presentaion details how te mission of the Fire Department has changed to include the huge growth in these types of calls.
Our Parkinson’s Exercise Class, led by Medical Exercise Specialist, Carol Witham, is cancelled Monday September 2nd, due to Labor Day activities. Classes willl resume on Wednesday September 4 at 10 a.m. as usual.

Our Parkinson’s Exercise Class, led by Medical Exercise Specialist, Carol Witham, is cancelled Monday August 12 and Wednesday August 14, so Carol can take a well-deserved vacation. Classes willl resume session on Monday August 19 at 10 a.m. as usual.

John Cullen and his business partner, Ivan, will hold an interview style meeting where John will be answering Parkinson’s related questions about his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s.
As you may recall, we have watched John’s documentary film “It’s Just Parkinson’s” and some of us have read his book “Unbreakable Surviving Adversity.”
